L–R: Principal Mr Jack Davies ,Tilly, Neil, and Head of Year 11 Ms Alice Crowe-Wright celebrating their success at BACA

Students at Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA), part of the Aldridge Education family, are celebrating their GCSE achievements today as they prepare to take the next steps towards college, further study, training and future careers.

At BACA, success is about much more than what happens in the exam hall. The academy works to help young people become confident, articulate, resilient and kind, combining a broad and ambitious curriculum with enrichment, leadership opportunities and distinctive sporting pathways.

Just as in sport, progress comes through determination, teamwork and the confidence to keep pushing forward. This year’s students have shown those qualities throughout their time at BACA, supported by staff, families and the wider school community.

Their achievements today reflect the hard work, commitment and ambition they have demonstrated throughout their GCSE journey.

4th year of improvements for record breaking results at BACA

BACA continues its rapid improvement journey, with another year of record-breaking results and significant improvements across all key performance measures.

Students and staff have worked incredibly hard throughout the year, and it is fantastic to see that commitment reflected in outcomes across all subject areas. These results represent not only academic success, but also the dedication, resilience and ambition that define our academy community. It has been another outstanding day at BACA, and we are immensely proud of everything our students have achieved.

Behind the headline figures are individual stories of hard work, ambition and achievement, with learners now preparing to take a wide range of exciting next steps.

“Over their time at BACA, we have watched them grow in confidence, resilience and ambition. They have worked hard, supported one another and shown the determination to keep moving forward when things have been challenging.

“Whether it has been in the classroom, on the stage, through leadership opportunities or on the sports pitch, our students have developed skills and qualities that will stay with them long after they leave school. Today is about celebrating how far they have come and looking forward to everything they can achieve next.

“We wish every one of our students the very best for the future, and we are delighted that many will be continuing their journey with us at BACA College.”

Where ambition meets opportunity – on and off the pitch

Sport forms an important part of the opportunities available to young people at BACA.

The academy offers distinctive sporting pathways within a state school environment through its established Cricket Academy and Football Academy, giving talented and ambitious students the opportunity to combine their education with high-level sporting development.

Working in partnership with Sussex Cricket and the Russell Martin Foundation, students can access specialist coaching, outstanding facilities and opportunities to develop their sporting potential while continuing to focus on their academic studies.

The academies reflect BACA’s wider approach to education: encouraging students to aim high, develop resilience, work as a team and build the confidence to pursue their ambitions.
